Assistant Coach
Tony Catanzarite enters his first season with Cleveland SC as an Assistant Coach, bringing a deep background in coaching, leadership, and program development across the youth, high school, and collegiate levels. A well-established figure in Northeast Ohio soccer, Catanzarite is also the founder of Manta United Soccer Club and continues to play a key role in developing talent throughout the region.
Catanzarite currently serves as the Head Men’s Varsity Soccer Coach at Walsh Jesuit High School, where he has built a strong competitive program. In addition, he has served as Head Coach and Club Director for Manta United Soccer Club, helping guide the club’s overall structure, player development model, and coaching philosophy.
His coaching background also includes collegiate and club experience, previously serving as Head Coach for Cleveland Futbol Club from 2018–2020 and as an Assistant Coach at Case Western Reserve University from 2001–2002.
As a player, Catanzarite competed at multiple levels, including Charleston Southern University (1997–1999) and Ohio University Club Soccer (1999–2001), where he also served as team president. Prior to college, he was a standout at Walsh Jesuit High School (1993–1997), serving as team captain in his senior season.
Catanzarite brings a wealth of experience as both a coach and program builder, adding leadership, familiarity with the region, and a strong developmental philosophy to the Cleveland SC staff.
