Brent Nanchoff is a midfielder and a graduate of Cleveland State University.

During his collegiate career, Nanchoff redshirted his freshman season at Akron in 2014 before continuing his development at Cleveland State. In 2015, he appeared in four matches as a reserve. The following season in 2016, he played in seven matches and earned his first collegiate start against Green Bay, operating as an attacking central midfielder.

In 2017, his redshirt junior season, Nanchoff appeared in 11 matches. He tied for second on the team with three assists, earning his first collegiate point in the season opener against Robert Morris on August 25. He also recorded assists against Loyola (Md.) and Michigan, finishing the season with five shots and contributing as a consistent creative presence in midfield.

After graduating from Cleveland State, Nanchoff played club soccer for the International Soccer Club of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy in Cleveland. This gained him international playing experience with Aris Filiates and Thesprotos in Greece, Windsor City in Canada, and Vänersborgs IF in Sweden.

Brent comes from a strong soccer background, as his father, Louie, played 10 years professionally, including seven seasons in the Major Indoor Soccer League, while his cousin, Michael Nanchoff, previously played in Major League Soccer with the Vancouver Whitecaps and Portland Timbers and is currently an assistant coach at the University of Akron.

Nanchoff’s experience has prepared him well to join Cleveland SC in 2026 and make his NPSL debut.
