Meet Our Opponent: Erie Commodores FC

Erie Commodores FC (0-1-1), under the leadership of Head Coach Rich Wall, kicked off the season with a dramatic 1-1 draw against last year’s conference champions, Steel City FC, after a late equalizer from a 10-man Steel City squad. However, their most recent outing saw a 5-1 loss to Michigan Rangers FC on the road this past Sunday. Historically, Erie has always been a challenging opponent for Cleveland SC, consistently putting up a strong fight. While it’s still early in the season to predict their final standing in the conference, Erie is sure to bring their best effort to this crucial matchup.

Club Notes

Cleveland SC (3-0-0), under the guidance of Head Coach Joe Jovanovski, will be looking to keep the momentum going back at home. Coming off two decisive victories and collecting a total of 13 goals while conceding only two, the team is in high spirits. Key contributors up top have been Stanislav Koval with six goals in two matches and Griffin Meyer with three goals. In their most recent match against Southern Indiana, Ryan Sommerfeld impressively recorded five assists. It will be crucial for Jovanovski’s players to stay focused and not underestimate Erie, who always presents challenges.
