What to know as Cleveland SC takes on Flower City Union

The good play has continued to roll on in Berea, as Cleveland SC earned its biggest win of the season thus far with a 3-0 trouncing of the previously undefeated Ambassadors Ohio FC.
With the win, Cleveland jumped Ambassadors in the standings, earning another three points to bring their season total up to 13. The club held the talented Ambassadors attack in check, only giving up a couple of chances before holding on to secure a clean sheet, the third of the season.
The impressive win came off a week of short rest, as just three days prior, Cleveland made quick work of Niagara 1812, getting a 3-1 win.
There will be yet another short turnaround for the boys in black and orange as they will look ahead to Flower City Union on the road in Rochester, New York, this Saturday, June 6.
So far this season, Cleveland has played in five matches, winning four with their only slip-up coming on the road against Rochester NY FC. This week, Cleveland will travel to upstate New York to face off against a team from the city, but Flower City has had similar results as its Rochester counterpart.
Flower City has largely struggled up to this point in the season, with a record of 1-1-3 through the first five games.
The only win came against the Buffalo Stallions, a club that has won all five games it has played this season.
The attack has not been the problem for Flower City so far, as they have scored nine goals in five games, a very solid rate of scoring. They have allowed 10 goals this season, which is a stark contrast to the dominant defense that Cleveland has been playing, resulting in just two goals allowed this season.
The defense has been at its best when it needs to be as well, as the only goals it has surrendered came in the first half and before they had scored a goal of their own, allowing for the Cleveland attack to get momentum and score to take the lead.
Flower City has played tough competition, however, with all three of their losses coming at the hands of either the Ambassadors or the undefeated and top of the table Erie Commodores FC.
That is a tough stretch of games, especially in the top-heavy Great Lakes Conference, where three of the seven teams have 12 points or more, while the rest of the clubs have just four or fewer points on the season.
This Saturday will present another good test for Cleveland, as they look to go on the road and keep the undefeated streak alive in Rochester.
